Department of Homeland Security

The "National Strategy for Homeland Security" and the Homeland Security Act of 2002 mobilized our nation to secure the homeland from terrorist attacks. The Department of Homeland Security united 22 agencies on March 1, 2003, putting the strategy into action.  A key part of the Department is the National Response Framework; the" guiding principles that enable all response partners to prepare for and provide a unified national response to disasters and emergencies – from the smallest incident to the largest catastrophe. The Framework establishes a comprehensive, national, all-hazards approach to domestic incident response."  Click the logo to go to the Department of Homeland Security's Homepage
